MAJOR PHIL PACKER TAKES DELIVERY OF HIS NEW RANGE ROVER SPORT ON THE MOTABILITY SCHEME, SUPPORTED BY LAND ROVER

2009 Pride of Britain Awards Fundraiser of the Year & BBC Sports Personality Helen Rollason Award Winner, Major Phil Packer, is the proud owner of a new Range Rover Sport.

Supported by Land Rover and Motability, Phil's new Range Rover Sport will help him in his quest to raise £15 million pounds to build the British Inspiration Trust – an eco-friendly residential Centre of Excellence to enthuse, inspire and deliver support to young people with disability.

Phil Packer was injured in 2008 whilst serving with the Army and was told he would never walk again.

Against all the odds, his condition has improved and he is now able to walk with sticks and has and will continue to embark upon a number of challenges – such as those he has already completed including the London Marathon, a 30 mile row across the English Channel and a four day climb up El Capitan in Yosemite National Park and more recently the Three Peaks Challenge – to raise much needed funds to support young people with disabilities and injured service men and women.
